Insurance for Sleep Apnea Treatment
In most cases, the cost for your dental sleep therapy is covered by your medical insurance (not dental insurance). This is because dental sleep therapy is considered a medical procedure, even though only a specially trained dentist can provide this type of treatment. At Sleep Wellness Matters, our staff members are highly trained and experienced to help you obtain your maximum medical benefits at minimum cost to you.
Our sleep coordinators will work closely with you to check benefits with your insurance and get any pre-authorizations that are needed. We will also assist in getting a prescription and letter of medical necessity from your primary care provider or sleep doctor.
What will my insurance pay for the device?
Your insurance coverage for your sleep apnea device is entirely dependent on the medical insurance plan. Our team makes every effort to help you secure coverage if your plan includes DME coverage, just like a CPAP. Your total out-of-pocket costs for your sleep apnea treatment will depend on your deductible and co-insurance.
Our office works with a quality experienced billing company, that helps us secure detailed information regarding your specific plan. When it comes to the costs of your care, we will share all of the details with you before you can make a decision.
Are you “in-network” with my insurance?
We likely are! Sleep Wellness Matters is in-network with BCBS, UHC and other insurances. We also are able to bill Medicare.
Do you accept Medicare?
Yes, we do accept Medicare! If you have supplement plans, you may have no out of pocket expense at all.

At Sleep Wellness Matters, we accept cash and credit card payments. We also work with top third-party financing company CareCredit to make your treatment affordable, and flexible payment plans for your out-of-pocket costs. With CareCredit financing plans, you can secure the treatment you need, at costs that suit your budget.
